Sydney house fire kills two

WEST COAST – A WEST COAST house fire has killed two people – one man and his father, who was walking his son home from a local school on Friday afternoon.

Neighbours told the Brisbane Times a fire was caused in the house on the 1000 block of Rundle Creek Road at around 2pm last night.

One man was trapped under a pile of rubbish in the car park while his father was working on his truck.

The fire was knocked down and there was no serious injuries.

Fire crews and officers from a neighbouring property were called to the scene but it is believed no one was injured in the fire.

There are no details of a motive for the fire, but the West Coast Fire Service said in a statement it was being treated as a “fire incident.”

“Emergency services attended and responded to an incident with an individual under the rubble of the house on the 1000 block of Rundle Creek Road, Wollongong, about 2pm today,” the statement read.

“Fire crews extinguished the fire but it is believed that no one is located in the house.”

A spokesman for NSW Fire and Emergency Services told reporters the man who was trapped in the house is believed to be a firefighter at the scene.

A neighbour said the man who was trapped was walking his dog outside before taking his boy and mother and daughter back to school with him.

“When they got outside his dog went to sleep and when they got back to the carpark that’s when he woke up and saw some smoke in 울산출장마사지the ground,” he said.

“He said ‘do you want to go back home now or do you want to leave your body in there?

One of the firefighters from the neighbouring property said the fire appeared to have spread throughout the area, as the family walked back to work around 5pm.

The blaze sent fire crews and a nearby fire service helicopter helicopter out of the area shortly after, the spokesman said.

Both the driver and 여수출장마사지the passenger of the truck that got into the fire were taken to hospital after they arrived in hospital.

The blaze is also believed to have had no immediate impact on the nearby area of Blenheim Road.
